Well I have sewn and sewn and finally it is finished. I have called it Hey Santa, Please Stop Here.
It is our own design and was lots of fun. It is fused applique and machine quilted. I also had a back up that I finished earlier this month. (Just in case) This is Up Up and Away. By Jana Davidson
It is a machine embroidery design with pieced blocks. The half square triangles are 1.5" and don't you like hubby's feet. Hmmm just noticed that. Couldn't take another photo because this has already been given to my friend.
Well, since this is my first blog hop I decided I should have my first giveaway. I will be giving away three 1/2 yard cuts of fabric to three lucky winners. Your name will be placed in a basket and hubby will be doing the drawing. The first name drawn will receive this 1/2 yard cut by Kaffe Fassett, Asian Circles.
The second name drawn will win this cut from Free Spirit called Garden Walk.
And the last name drawn will receive this one from Michael Miller:
I will draw the winner on August 9th.
Thank you all for stopping by and please leave a comment to have your name placed in the drawing. And if you are a no-reply blogger please add your email address so I will be able to contact you.
That's it for me....hope your journey is fun filled with lots of jolly Ho Ho Ho's.
Lovely! Thank you for sharing and joining the hop.
ReplyDeleteWow, I LOVE the border on Up, Up, and Away, it's fantastic. Thank you for having a drawing, that's very generous of you!

I love your Hey Santa. It just makes me smile. And I'm really impressed by the design. Thanks for sharing your talent!
ReplyDeleteYou are a great designer. The quilt you designed is amazing. I don't know where you live and if you have had a chance to personally meet Jana Davidson. She doesn't live far from Tulsa and was guest speaker at our guild not long ago. I do not mach embroider although I have an embroidery unit on my machine. I had to limit myself to the number of patterns of Jana's that I bought just because I have so many patterns already. She is a very sweet person. If you ever have the opportunity to meet her, you will adore her as much as you adore her creations. Thank you for participating in the hop and sharing your creativity. Thanks for letting everyone know where you got your inspirations. I get frustrated when I find an adorable project and can't find a clue about the pattern. Is your pattern available?
ReplyDeleteGreat Santas and sleighs. Your work is terrific! Thank you for sharing!
