I am really good at making things difficult. I decided on a stripe with roses for the backing and of course that means the stripe had to be matched and the repeat naturally didn't match up straight so I had three uneven length of fabric that had to be squared. And it was lots of fabric. I chose a new bolt of 12 yards of fabric and only had a yard and a quarter left. The backing took 10 7/8yd. of fabric so dear hubby helped me carry it around and fold it etc. And even helped me to pin it on, so while the batting is relaxing, hubby and I are relaxing too. Hope your journey was fun today and you are relaxing too.
Wow! That is a lot of material!
ReplyDeleteI just read your blog to mom. She said WOW! She's AMAZING! Just got home from church and the message series has been Praise and Worship. I praise the Lord for you, your hubby, the anniversary quilt, and bunches of others. I relax when I go to a prayer group for our city, Nation, and Israel! Looking forward to watching the History Channel tonight. The Bible...10 hour series with Roma Downey and her husband. Just had a rosemary, garlic, mayo and lemon jiice coated on the chicken tenders baked in oven after sitting on counter and marinating for 1 hour at room temp. It was yummy!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week in Jesus! Love and hugs! Angel
that was a big job getting everything lined up-have an awesome new week
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when I seen your coffee pic! That was a perfect addition to this post. I don't have a long arm, so I found it interesting to know that you had to baste the batting to the backing. Makes sense now that I think of it. This is going to be a BIG job. Let your husband know we appreciate his efforts to help you, so get to enjoy seeing your progress!
